Garmin 920XT Has Been Announced – Pre-Order Available!
The Garmin 920XT has been announced after a highly anticipated wait. The 920XT is a true multisport GPS watch with advanced running, swimming and cycling metrics. The 910XT is available for pre-order from us HERE.
From beginners to elite athletes, take your training to the next level. Advanced features include running dynamics, VO2 max estimate, live tracking and smart notifications, plus daily features like watch mode and activity. Its slim profile (18% thinner than the 910XT) and hinged watch bands offer a comfortable fit, and its high-resolution colour display makes it easy to view stats.
In the Water
The Garmin 920XT is water rated to 5 ATM and offers advanced swim metrics open water and training in a pool. Easily record swim distance, pace, stroke type, stroke count, SWOLF score and log swim drills and kick sets at the pool with no fuss.
On the Bike
The Garmin 920XT offers advanced cycling features including a built-in altimeter for precise ascent, descent and gradient data during training. It’s compatible with sensors such as speed, cadence, heart rate and power meter, and can receive GLONASS signals in addition to GPS for improved accuracy. The 920XT can also be paired with compatible ANT+ power meters such as the Vector system to gather data like average watts, left/right balance, and power zone.
On the Run
When used with a HRM-Run monitor, the Garmin 920XT reports cadence (total steps per minute), vertical oscillation (amount of “bounce” in a runner’s step), and ground contact time (how much time a runner’s foot spends on the ground during each step). The 920XT also features audible alerts to help guide cadence training, a VO2 max race predictor for running, and a recovery advisor providing advice on rest and bursts.
Battery life is excellent on the Garmin 920XT offering up to 24 hours in standard GPS mode, plus an UltraTrac mode for Ultra runners which extends the GPS mode battery life for up to 40 hours.
The Garmin Forerunner 920XT is available in black/blue or red/white with stock expected to arrive mid-late October 2014.
